Do not expose the unfinished underside to direct sunlight. If the unfinished side becomes damaged, resulting in unfinished urethane being exposed to direct sunlight, it is important to patch and refinish to protect the exposed area. Before painting, ensure that the millwork and accents are completely free of dirt, dust, and grime. Consider painting the millwork prior to installing and touch-up the nail or screw holes. Use any high-quality exterior latex paint for the best finish coat results. Do not use oil-based finishes.
